🎁 How Gift Entry Works
1. Buy the Gift
Choose standard RTM Gift Entry or Gift Entry + Earned T-shirt.
You are buying the entry for somebody else.
2. Receive Your Gift Code
After your purchase, I’ll send you a unique single-use RTM 2027 gift code by email.
You can then give the code to the person you are gifting RTM to.
3. They Redeem Their Entry
The recipient uses the code to enter RTM 2027 themselves.
There is nothing further for them to pay for the entry covered by the gift.
They enter using their own name, email address and details, and accept the RTM participation terms themselves.
4. Their Season Begins
Their RTM entry belongs to them.
Their results.
Their targets.
Their RTM Score.
Their Machine.

RTM 2027 is a worldwide running season built around ten different distances and ten shared Race Weekends.

Race Weekends run from Friday to Sunday wherever the runner happens to be in the world.
Roads.
Trails.
Track.
Treadmill.
Another organised race.
There is no fixed RTM start line.
The distance is shared. The target is theirs.
🤖 A Personal Opponent
RTM is not simply ten distances to tick off.
The recipient’s first submitted result establishes their starting level.
After that, The Machine begins setting personalised targets based on what they have shown it.
Run well and The Machine responds.
Submit another result and the targets ahead adapt.
Their RTM Score develops across the season.
They do not have to be the fastest runner in the field.
They have to deal with something more personal:
what The Machine thinks they can do next.
⚡ Three Flex Runs
Nobody has to be free on every Race Weekend.
Every RTM 2027 entrant receives three Flex Runs.
A Flex Run allows the recipient to complete or re-run an official RTM distance at another point during 2027 outside its scheduled Race Weekend.
That means RTM can fit around:
- Existing race entries
- Holidays
- Work
- Illness or injury
- Family commitments
- Their own running calendar
And they do not need to complete all ten distances.
👑 Seven to Beat The Machine
There are three milestones across the RTM year:
4/10 — RTM Verified
Complete four different official RTM distances.
7/10 — Beat The Machine 2027
Complete any seven of the ten distances and finish the central RTM mission.
10/10 — Machine Accomplished 2027
Complete the entire ten-distance season.
The recipient chooses their own route through the year.
They can even skip three distances completely and still:
Beat The Machine 2027.
👕 Giving the Earned T-shirt Entry?
Choose Gift Entry + Earned T-shirt and the recipient has the opportunity to earn the official Beat The Machine 2027 organic cotton unisex finisher’s T-shirt.
They unlock it by completing 7 official RTM distances.
Once earned, they choose:
- Red or black
- Their own size
- Worldwide delivery included
You don’t need to know their T-shirt size when buying the gift.
And the shirt does not arrive simply because you paid for it.
They have to earn it.
🌍 A Gift They Can Use Wherever They Are
RTM has no fixed venue.
The recipient can take part from Dundee, Melbourne, Amsterdam, New York or anywhere else in the world.
They choose their own:
- Route
- Surface
- Start time
- Location
- Company
They can run alone.
Run with friends.
Use a club session.
Or use a suitable organised race as their RTM result.
Different routes.

Important
Purchasing a Gift Entry does not register the purchaser as the RTM entrant.
The recipient must redeem their gift code and complete their own RTM 2027 registration before taking part.
